Madrid tapas walking tour
From about 75 €
You buy a walking meal: about 3 hours, 4 tapas bars, 10–12+ plates, and a wine or drink tasting on the typical package. Small group — max about 13 — guide in English or Spanish. From about 75 €.
Tapas here are small plates — tortilla, croquetas, jamón, a vermouth or a caña — eaten standing or perched. Not a restaurant reservation. Not a tasting menu. Book the slot. The voucher names the corner.

The rooms
The listing describes types of rooms, not named doors: a Castilian sherry and wine bar; a liquor shop with a hidden wine bar; a bustling tavern with an open kitchen; a bohemian tavern more than a hundred years old.
The photos on this page are Madrid tiled-bar atmosphere — La Ardosa, Bodegas Rosell, Oliveros. They are not the itinerary. The tour does not promise those three doors.
You will stand more than you sit. Wear shoes for cobbles. Portions are small on purpose — a meal if you eat what you are given. Tell the guide about allergies at the meet-up, not halfway through a croqueta. You do not need fluent Spanish. You do need to keep up. Phones are fine for a plate; blocking the bar is not.
How to get there
- Meet-up is a named corner in the centre. Read the voucher.
- Metro Sol (lines 1, 2, 3). Plaza Mayor is about five minutes on foot.
- La Latina (line 5) or Tirso de Molina (line 1) if the voucher points downhill.
- From the Prado: two Metro stops to Sol, or walk Carrera de San Jerónimo.
- Arrive ten minutes early. Do not drive.
Before you go
Book the slot before a Saturday night or a late tablao. Closed or moved dates show on the listing; check it the morning you walk. Afterward, Sol has every Metro and taxi you need. If you want flamenco the same night, take a show-only seat at Corral de la Morería. Give the Prado its own morning.
GuíaMadrid is a lineup, not a ticket office. The listing is an affiliate link: if you book through it, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. For a museum morning, use the Prado skip-the-line guide. For the palace, use the Royal Palace guide. For a tablao, use the Corral de la Morería guide.
